I weighed a 112 kilo's then. I weighed 118 at the beginning of last week, 6 kilo's heavier in January 2013 than I was in May 2012. The despair of the intervening months is beyond me to pen down. Skyrocketing thyroid and thyroxin dosage huffing and puffing to keep up. No periods for months in a row, then spending two months bleeding like a sieve - washing bloody clothes that seemed like practice for ridding oneself of evidence of homicide - and the restricted movement for one sure doesn't want to answer awkward questions like "Oh dear, have you been in a motor accident?" lest one spend more than a couple of hours out of the house without a visit to the loo! The diet and the walking and the weighing scale tipping in the wrong direction. The wretched helplessness. The perhaps disproportionately deep depression. The anger and the proclamation of, "I don't give a damn." Though, I do. Hence here I am, yet again. Armed with an even higher dosage of thyroxin and a doctor's words ringing in my ears - give it your best shot. If nothing changes, you must seriously consider surgery. *shudder*
The mountain has been pointed out to me, the gauntlet has been thrown, the stakes set high - very.
Week 1 - 28 January to 2 Feb:
I want to weep when at I see that it takes me 14 mins 22 secs to walk a kilometer, and that after two kilometers I am out of breath and being literally dragged down by my weight. Ankles hurting and thighs being rubbed raw, curiously I keep hearing the title song of the movie Lakshya as I trudge along. Sigh, dieting is so much easier. :/ Anyway...at the end of the week I am two kilo's lighter, happy with the progress and aiming at gradual but definite improvement in my physical stamina and health!
Excercise: Walking: 4days/week, Badminton: 1day/week
